Plan site readiness, representative product trials, agreed acceptance checks, operator handover and open-item tracking before commissioning.
Commissioning a food production line is the planned transition from installed equipment to an agreed working process. For the factory team, a useful preparation plan identifies what will be checked, who will take part and how findings will be recorded. Innawei’s project context includes commissioning and after-sales support alongside process planning and equipment integration.
Prepare together: confirm site readiness, agree the trial product, define acceptance checks, arrange operator participation and create a written list for unresolved items.
Confirm readiness before the visit
Check the installation status with the responsible team and identify incomplete connections or access restrictions. Make the relevant site drawings, equipment information and agreed project scope available. Arrange the materials, packaging and staff needed for the planned trial. Where another contractor or supplier is responsible for part of the installation, confirm their availability and the work that remains.
Agree what the trial should demonstrate
Choose a product and recipe that represent the agreed project scope. Write down the intended process sequence and the output characteristics that both teams will inspect. Include material transfers and packaging interfaces in the discussion, not only the operation of individual machines. Record the trial conditions so the results can be understood later without relying on memory.
Organize handover and follow-up
Give operators time to ask questions about the agreed operating and changeover routines. Identify the documents and maintenance information that will be handed over. Use an open-item list with an owner and next action for each finding. Separate items that affect acceptance from later improvement requests, and record any change to scope rather than leaving it as a verbal understanding.
Questions before commissioning
Should the trial use the intended product? Agree a representative trial in advance and identify any substitution clearly. A result using different materials or packaging should be recorded with those conditions, so both teams understand what was demonstrated and what still needs confirmation.
When is commissioning complete? Define completion and acceptance in the project agreement. Check the agreed items, record results and document outstanding work with responsible people and follow-up actions. A brief successful run should not replace the checks both teams have agreed to perform.
